Business Process Manager Jonna Vainikainen

An Ambitious Developer

Jonna Vainikainen is the undisputed queen of martial arts here at C&S. When she's not on the mat training in Israeli martial art Krav Maga, Jonna can be found working on complex development projects. Jonna is also responsible for the development of processes in addition to training our staff. It goes without saying that IT plays a significant role in her work.

When she first joined us in 2008, Jonna had an entirely different set of tasks to keep her busy. When a challenging new document management project arose, Jonna was lured into joining our Knowledge Management team as a Knowledge Coordinator. Her work in business development projects continues to this day. In April 2015, Jonna was appointed Business Process Manager. Her continually developing job description has provided Jonna with the challenges she’s looking for.

‘The best thing about my job is succeeding in large projects. It's great to get results that will make it easier for other staff to succeed in their tasks. As a developer, I'm always on top of things: I get to develop both the firm and myself to a new level.’

Another feature of her work that Jonna enjoys is getting to know everyone on the C&S staff.

‘If I weren't familiar with everyone at C&S and what they do, it'd be hard to develop the working methods and tools they need,’ Jonna says.

Despite her busy workload, Jonna always finds time to learn something new. She recently completed a special vocational degree programme in management at the Finnish Institute of Marketing and a third-dan martial arts instructor degree at the Pajulahti Sports Institute. Now she’s turned her sights on a specialist qualification in coaching. Jonna believes that athletics coaching can provide a great deal of insight into business development and training work.

After Jonna is done with work for the day, she wastes no time in getting to a Krav Maga class – it's safe to say Krav Maga is no longer a hobby for her, but a lifestyle. Jonna is clearly a woman of many talents. It's no wonder her colleagues continue to be amazed by her versatility.
