KM trainees are the researchers of our firm, carrying out a wide variety of legal and financial information retrievals to help our firm’s lawyers in their assignments.
If you have at least half of your studies behind you, i.e. about 160 credits by the start of the traineeship, you can apply for a traineeship in our Information Service. In addition to information retrievals, our KM trainees draft legislative and current affairs updates for various fields of law both for our services and directly for our clients.
You are well suited to work as a KM trainee if you have a genuine interest in information retrieval and some experience of it through work and studies. A service-minded attitude, good teamwork skills and an open-minded, energetic and creative approach to work and also important characteristics for a KM trainee to have.
KM trainees work part time, usually two to three days a week, and the traineeship lasts one year. During the summer, the work is full time. Trainee periods start every January and September.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN APPLYING
If you think that Castrén & Snellman could be right for you, fill out our trainee application form and tell us about yourself. We read every application we get and pick some of the applicants for interviews.
The first interview stage is via video. In the video interview, you film yourself answering a few questions that we will send you by e-mail. You will have 2–4 days to make your video.
We will invite about one-third of the people who participated in the video interviews to a face-to-face interview at our offices. At this stage, you will be interviewed by a member of our HR team and the person responsible for the trainee programme you’re applying to.
We will let all applicants know either over the phone or via e-mail when the new trainees have been selected.
