KM Lawyer, Member of the Finnish Bar, Solicitor (England and Wales)

Since I joined Castrén & Snellman in 2009, I have focused my practice on corporate governance as well as restructuring and insolvency. I was based in London for several years, and in addition to being a member of the Finnish Bar, I am also a qualified solicitor in England and Wales after completing the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme assessments.

Currently, I am heading our internal Information Service as part of our Knowledge Management & Innovation team. I see to the daily operations and development of the Information Service and support the organisation in questions concerning legal research.

My expertise covers corporate governance, compliance and investigations as well as restructuring and insolvency matters. I advise clients in compliance, risk management and corporate responsibility. I assist clients in their internal and external investigations by assessing and investigating suspected irregularities or wrongdoings relating to both their business partners and their internal operations. I also regularly advice in relation to sanctions and trade compliance matters.

I have served as part of the administration of numerous complex corporate restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. I also represent creditors in insolvency proceedings and regularly advise clients with regard to impending insolvency and conduct investigations in relation to asset tracing. In addition, I have wide-ranging experience within the field of corporate law. I advise listed and private companies in matters related to, for example, corporate structuring, corporate governance and directors’ liability. I also assist clients in contract law matters.

I frequently publish articles within my fields of expertise in international professional publications and I have acted as lecturer in international seminars.
