About me
I have worked with matters related to public procurement and competition law since the mid-1990s. I am particularly interested in procurement, state aid and competitive neutrality issues and how competition can produce economic efficiency for society while taking into account sustainability issues. EU law and international aspects are a daily part of my job. The best thing about my job is the chance to create operating models that are legally strong, environmentally friendly, innovative, and in which social aspects are taken into consideration. I am interested in matters related to corporate responsibility and I do a great deal of compliance work. I enjoy operating in the interface between the public and private sector, for example in assignments related to healthcare, construction, energy and the ICT sector.
In addition to counselling, my duties include public procurement disputes and resolving competition law-related administrative disputes. I handle disputes in the Market Court, the Supreme Administrative Court and in other administrative courts as well as in the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. However, I prefer to find functional and practical solutions, even for difficult questions, in advance, outside the court proceedings.
I keep myself updated in a rapidly changing regulatory field by writing articles and by lecturing in Finland and in international seminars. In my work, I strive for solutions that are practical, promote the client’s business and with which projects can be safely completed.
