Senior Associate, Member of the Finnish Bar, M.Sc. (Econ.)
I specialise in dispute resolution, insurance, shipping and logistics, and international construction and projects at Castrén & Snellman.
In particular, I advise our clients in commercial litigation and domestic and international arbitration and I especially enjoy handling disputes in my work. I find it extremely rewarding to familiarise myself thoroughly with a client's business and to craft and refine the arguments required to succeed in a dispute. At Castrén & Snellman, I have advised our clients in a variety of commercial disputes relating to, e.g. the insurance, logistics, finance, construction and industrial sectors. In addition to handling disputes, I advise our clients in various contractual and commercial questions.
In addition to my law degree, I hold a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Turku where my studies focused on supply chain management, logistics and the insurance market. My commercial understanding of both the logistics and the insurance sectors enables me to help our clients from these business sectors in a particularly comprehensive and business-oriented manner.
Before graduating, I worked for several years as a trainee in one of the leading construction companies in Finland. Ultimately, this valuable experience inspired me to write my legal thesis on the contractor's liability for the functionality of the building project. My knowledge of the construction business has proven beneficial in assisting both contractors and employers in various construction projects.
In addition to my legal education at the University of Turku, I have studied law in England at the University of Surrey. I have also completed court training at the District Court of Itä-Uusimaa, Vantaa office.
